Postal Strike Rant
I'm just so over this dam postal strike. Its so unnecessary. The workers at CWU and Royal Mail must honestly live in a time warp of job security, while the rest of us slog our guts out all year long to keep out jobs, millions get laid off, we struggle to keep out businesses a float and the tossers at royal mail thinks its totally fine to strike week after week, meanwhile they can't even string together a coherent arguement for why they are striking! It makes me so angry! Why are we so so utterly powerless to complain out this? Why is the government not doing anything to sort it out! It's our service. And they are royally fucking it up. We won't have a universal postal service at the end of all of this. Its so sad. IDIOTS all of them. They should all be fired and new workers should be hired. Millions of unemployed in this country, I'm sure some of them would like a well paid, unskilled postal job.

Exhibition news
I recently posted 4 paintings to San Fransisco for an exhibition run by a friend of mine from DeviantArt. Jimmy McCullough Just heard today that he receieved them safely and the group show will go up next week. They will hang for all of next year in a new Japanese restaurant and next November I will perhaps get to visit for the 2 month feature of my work that is planned. VERY EXCITING! So I'll have to ship alot more painting next year for that.
I also have an exhibition coming up in November in Edinburgh for Cancer Research.
So lots of exciting things to look forward to!
Halloween soon... Have you seen my Halloween Tree print available for sale now!

My first blog
This is my first blog!
I intend it to be where I can blog about my art works and what I am doing in in my other life as an artist.
Most recently I opened an Etsy Shop! Hurrah. And I posted up the first couple of prints that I am making available as Fine Art Giclee prints. They are beautiful and as I'm not selling the originals, they are the next best thing... The colour match is almost perfect to the originals, I was very impressed with the print job. So please check out my new Etsy shop here --> www.amyhooton.etsy.com
Even better news is that I sold the first print of Halloween Tree within 20mins of posting it up. So number 1 is gone. But number 2 is hot on its heels!
I also have my website www.amyhooton.com
And if you're on facebook, you can fan my art page www.facebook.com/amyhootonart
You can also find me on www.amyhooton.deviantArt.com
So I'm everywhere! hahaha (almost.)
Bye for now...
